CACO - USGS IAA supporting Herring River and the Mill Creek water control structure
Type: Forecast • Source ID: 29867
Overview
Description
The Mill Creek water control structure is a key component of the Herring River restoration as it will protect low-lying properties upstream on Mill Creek from tidal flooding once the restoration begins. Funding from the NRCS was provided to the NPS via an IAA. The vast majority of funding in this IAA is going towards the construction of the water control structure. If funds remain in the IAA they can be transferred to Task 2 which will help fund vegetation management or other on the ground work.
