Description
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) operates long-term observations and field-based shorter-term process studies in Lake Michigan at the Lake Michigan Field Station (LMFS). The site is approximately a two (2) acre parcel of land owned by the Department of Commerce operated by NOAA GLERL and hosts first class research on the ecosystem of the Great Lakes. GLERL is planning to expand Building No. 03 (the Ecosystem Dynamics research laboratory) at the LMFS site. The expansion would require the provision of a new structural slab, exterior walls, corrugated metal roofing, and fit-out of approximately 1,000-square feet of office space inclusive of architectural, mechanical, electrical plumbing (MEP) and fire protection systems.
