Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for Contracts

This is for the release of a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for contracts that will fund projects that are deemed the highest priority, particularly projects that will advance science and technology and transition knowledge, technology, and/or applications to the National Weather Service and the broader weather enterprise. This BAA will be open for at least two years and will allow academia, industry, and the weather enterprise the opportunity to propose recommended advancements and solutions for NOAA's pressing research challenges. These proposals will advance the state of the science around the following foundational areas: Improving approaches to modeling the planet, Transitioning research into operations and applications, Integrating observations and emerging technologies, specifically artificial intelligence machine learning (AI/ML). The scope of the work includes NOAA research priorities that will advance projects within
