Description
Project Title: Bldg 616 IMI Boiler Repair Problem Statement: UEM has identified repairs required on both boilers. These will be contractor repairs but will be combined into one contract action. Scope of Work: ---> SB1: Replacing Rear Mud Bar and two Handhole Corner Plates: 1. Remove approx. 24 of the refractory floor inside the boiler at the rear. 2. Torch cut and remove the rear mud-bar and approx. 10 of the lower rearwall water leg and (2) sidewall handhole plates. 3. Grind prep areas for welding. 4. Furnish and install, (1) new rear mud-bar, 10 of new lower rearwall water leg, (8) new staybolt rods, (2) new handhole corner plates approx. 8 x 8 , (2) 1 threaded tank flanges and (1) 4 threaded tank flange. 5. Independent will assist owner / engineer in performing a pressure test of the boiler, to ensure that there are no leaks. 6. Install 24 of new refractory floor inside the boiler at the rear. 7. Independent will remove all of the old debris and clean up our work area upon completion of this project. ---> SB2: Replacing three Handhole Corner Plates: 1. Torch cut and remove (3) handhole corner plates from the boiler. 2. Grind prep welding areas for welding. 3. Furnish and install (3) new handhole corner plates approx. 8 x 8 . 4. Independent will assist owner / engineer in performing a pressure test of the boiler, to ensure that there are no leaks. 5. Independent will remove all of the old debris and clean up our work area upon completion of this project.
