Description
Constructs a multi-story biological and chemical research laboratory to include labs, shared equipment spaces, offices and office support spaces, lab equipment storage spaces technology equipment storage spaces, secure conference room and receiving areas. Constructs a multi-story concrete building supported by concrete pile caps on top of auger cast pile deep foundations. The building envelope includes modified bitumen roofing system on sloped concrete slab, concrete slab on grade, and exterior walls consisting of a combination of aluminum composite panels, glass-fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) panels, corrugated metal panel system and glazed curtainwall system. The facility includes a mechanical equipment penthouse composed of structural steel framing, modified bitumen roofing on metal decking roof and a corrugated metal panel exterior wall system. Replaces storage buildings 205 and 206 and associated utilities by demolition and relocation. Replacement facilities will be reinforced concrete masonry unit (CMU) buildings with slab-on-grade foundations and metal roof.
