B426 ‐ Install New Fence for ASD Laydown Yard

Provide fencing to secure from unauthorized access. John Lazzara & Gianmarco Grasso 15 May 2018 PRELIMINARY ACTION TITLE: PROVIDE NEW FENCING AT BLDG 426 1. CURRENT CONDITION: 1.1 Currently there is the south side of bldg. 426 that has fixed racks that host AIMD special equipment. Due to the nature of these equipment, this compound shall be secured from unauthorized access. 2. REQUIREMENT: 2.1 Provide new fencing and improve existing fencing at the location described in 1.1 above. 3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 3.1 Modify existing compound fencing in order to insert in it a new provided galvanized metal exterior type turnstile (that allows free passage from inside the compound towards the outside of it). 3.2 Provide new outriggers at existing compound fencing (15ea outriggers) and above existing compound vehicular double gates (8ea outriggers). Provide three strand barbed wires attaching it through all the new provided outriggers. 3.3 Provide new ready for use galvanized rollup door complete of its bearing metal framework. 3.4 Provide new galvanized metal fencing system to realize pedestrian passageway/corridor. This fencing shall be provided with outriggers and three strand barbed wires. Notes: (1) Work shall be conducted in compliance with the EM 385 1 1 Safety Manual and the Italian Safety norms. (2) No work shall start prior to obtaining all approvals from the Contracting Officer. (3) Debris resulting from operations shall be removed and disposed of off the station in accordance to current environmental protection rules and regulations.
