Description
Phase 1: FEAD coordinating with EXWC SME to develop SAES for site investigation and design for Akasaki Undermining Wharf repairs based on UCT-2 2020 inspection report. The project will repair the deteriorated fueling pier #170 that has underwater voids, undermining of seawall, sinkholes, and spalls according to the recommendations of Maritime Infrastructure Assessment of Akasaki Fueling Wharves 1, 2 and 3 at Sasebo prepared by Underwater Construction Team TWO dated March 2020. There are also cavities at several portions of the seawall on the pier. The void space will be filled, spalling, undermining, sinkholes will be corrected. The seawall rotation shall be monitored to ensure the stability.
