Overview

Description
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Engineering Services Division (ESD), In Service Vessel Sustainment (ISVS) Branch has the responsibility to retrofit the Main Propulsion Machinery Control System (MPMCS) with the new Coast Guard Machinery Control System (CGMCS) as a part of the 175' WLM Major Maintenance Availability (MMA) on the Keeper Class 175 WLM cutters. CGMCS has been designed by Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD), with NAVSEA drawings and parts lists for the hardware components required. The USCG has a need to procure the hardware components listed in those documents. These hardware components will be a shipset of retrofit-style subassemblies that can be installed in the existing shipboard infrastructure The hardware must be in accordance NSWCPD-provided technical documents to ensure seamless integration with the software design. Controllers must be purchased from the Manufacturer to ensure Cyber Security Requirements are met and to eliminate the chance of counterfeit materials and/or devices. Rockwell Automation is the sole designer and manufacturer for these components, and these components are the only ones that meet the USCG s exact specifications for this program. Upon approval, the Government intends to solicit and award one fixed price multi-year contract to Rockwell Automation and/or an authorized distributor.
