Description
USAF Modeling and Simulation specifically focuses on supporting the United States Air Force (USAF) in ensuring air, space, and cyberspace training and mission rehearsal activities are supported with realistic, interoperable, and readily available tools, data, services, and environments. This program element includes several complimentary programs and initiatives such as Warfighter and Joint Training Integration to support Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) integration efforts directed by the Chief of Staff of the Air Force (CSAF). The goal is to prepare warfighters for a full range of military operations and maintain combat readiness levels required by Combatant Commanders. Additionally, the program supports the development of the Air, Space, and Cyberspace Constructive Environment - Information Operations Suite (ACE-IOS), which provides simulation modeling and stimulation systems for ISR/Cyber training from the AF ISR Schoolhouse to Joint mission rehearsal for the Air Force.

Furthermore, Program PE 0207601F supports the Command & Control Simulation Environment for Training (C2SET) development effort aimed at modernizing the authoritative representation of AF and joint theater-level air and space power for training Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) personnel and Combatant Commanders' battle staffs. The program also provides necessary civilian pay expenses required to manage, execute, and deliver weapon system capability in addition to supporting the DoD Training Transformation Initiative. The acquisition strategy involves incremental development of M&S activities through full and open competition contracts to meet evolving M&S technology requirements.

In summary, Program PE 0207601F plays a critical role in enhancing warfighter readiness through advanced modeling and simulation capabilities that support realistic training environments across air, space, cyberspace domains. It also contributes to the modernization efforts aimed at improving the effectiveness of M&S capabilities derived from Warfighter Readiness thrust.
