Description
The Tactical Electronic Surveillance System - Advanced Development program aims to enhance the Army's capabilities in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) through the Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP). This initiative leverages national intelligence resources to support operations during conflict and competition by providing deep sensing capabilities. TENCAP systems are designed to improve situational awareness for commanders, offering insights into patterns of life, threat intentions, and indications of enemy mobilization. The program supports Army modernization priorities such as Long Range Precision Fires and Air Missile Defense by integrating signals intelligence, geospatial intelligence, electronic warfare, and cyberspace operations.

The Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) Advanced Development project focuses on developing space-to-ground station capabilities that ensure timely access to national and commercial space-based ISR data. This project aims to enhance the speed and accuracy of the intelligence cycle through automated sensor-to-shooter workflows. Funding will support the improvement of TITAN Surrogates and Pre-Prototypes, ensuring they remain compatible with evolving National Reconnaissance Overhead Systems and commercial sensors. The integration of these capabilities into the TITAN Ground Station Program is crucial for supporting the Army's Long Range Precision Fires priority.

The Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) project is dedicated to supporting the Army's Assured Position Navigation and Timing/Space (APNT/S) initiatives. This effort involves prototyping high-altitude and tactical space layer sensors designed for wide-area sensing required for beyond-line-of-sight targeting. By reducing sensor-to-shooter timelines, LEO ISR enhances force maneuverability and provides alternative signal sources. Funding will facilitate further prototyping and experimentation with these systems, ensuring their integration with Army ground stations for live-fire demonstrations.

These projects under the Tactical Electronic Surveillance System - Advanced Development program are integral to maintaining the Army's technological edge in ISR capabilities. By leveraging national intelligence resources and developing advanced prototypes, these initiatives aim to provide comprehensive support for modern military operations while addressing emerging threats in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
