Description
LCAC is focused on the procurement and installation of components required to maintain acceptable levels of fleet operational readiness for the Navy's Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC). This includes the replacement of selected engines, Personnel Transport Modules, and other equipment necessary to ensure the craft's readiness. The program also provides materials to support system upgrades and equipment removal and installation at designated units. Specific items procured vary from year to year based on fleet needs, such as C4N upgrades and deep skirt replacements. Additionally, the program aims to provide funding for the procurement of spares for the newly delivered LCAC 100 Class craft (Ship-to-Shore Connector, SSC), with decreased funding from FY23 to FY24 due to the reduction of Major Shore Based Spares (MSBS) planned procurement.
