Description
The Air Defense Command, Control and Intelligence program is dedicated to integrating air and missile defense operations across different levels. Its primary goal is to enhance situational awareness and operational capabilities through systems such as the Air Missile Defense Work Station (AMDWS) and Forward Area Air Defense Command and Control (FAAD C2). These systems provide commanders with a comprehensive view of the airspace, enabling collaborative planning and effective decision-making. The program supports Army Air and Missile Defense Commands, Air Defense Artillery Brigades, and other units by ensuring interoperability with existing systems.

The Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS) initiative equips forces to identify, track, and neutralize UAS threats. This effort supports joint operational requirements by developing cross-domain capabilities for various mission types, including fixed, mobile, dismounted, and handheld operations. The initiative aligns with Joint Requirements Oversight Council directives to address evolving threats through technological advancements. It supports rapid prototyping, integration of emerging technologies, and performance testing to ensure readiness against current and future UAS threats.

The Army Long-Range Persistent Surveillance (ALPS) project provides passive long-range surveillance against multiple aerial threats. It supports the Pacific Deterrence Initiative by integrating into the Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense architecture. The project involves engineering, testing, and validation of system updates to enhance air surveillance capabilities. ALPS aims to deliver prototype fabrication and system support for effective airspace monitoring.

The Air & Missile Defense Planning Control System (AMDPCS) enhances air defense operations by providing integrated command and control solutions. It includes subsystems like AMDWS for situational awareness and FAAD C2 for real-time air picture correlation. The program supports various Army units by maintaining cyber compliance and software accreditation. Efforts focus on software development, system certification, and modernization to ensure continued interoperability within the Integrated Battle Command System framework.
