University Research Initiatives

The University Research Initiatives program, managed by the Air Force, supports defense-related basic research across various scientific and engineering disciplines. Its primary goal is to maintain U.S. military technological superiority by exploring transformational technologies such as nanotechnology, sensor networks, artificial intelligence, and quantum materials.
