Description
The Marine Corps Combat Services Support program is designed to enhance the capabilities of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force by improving equipment related to Combat Service Support. This initiative focuses on advancing combat breaching capabilities, logistics, maintenance, and transportation. It also aims to improve various vehicles by identifying replacements for the light fleet. Key projects include developing alternative power sources for communications equipment, enhancing automatic testing systems for technicians, and applying high-performance capabilities from the motor sports industry to military vehicles.

The Combat Service Support Engineering Equipment project addresses operational priorities and safety concerns through modifications and initiatives. It focuses on sustaining equipment life cycles in response to evolving Marine Corps needs. The project supports research and development of new armor technology and corrosion prevention strategies to extend the useful life of Marine Corps assets. Additionally, it develops explosive ordnance disposal equipment and systems to neutralize explosive threats.

The Motor Transport Modification project supports the Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement program by implementing modifications that address vehicle reliability, availability, maintainability, and readiness. This includes prototyping efforts for Medium Tactical Trucks to advance technology maturity and energy efficiency. The project also manages life cycle sustainment for light tactical vehicles and trailers, ensuring they meet transportation goals while improving off-road mobility.

The MAGTF Combat Service Support Element & Systems Engineering project focuses on mobile power systems essential for expeditionary operations. It aims to develop hybrid environmental control units that reduce ownership costs and environmental impact. The project supports the Intelligent Power Management System by developing energy storage units and integrating them with existing systems to enhance operational efficiency in austere environments.
