Description
The Enterprise Information Technology System, managed by the Defense Contract Audit Agency, is focused on developing a prototype cloud-based solution to enhance audit processes. The primary objective is to address inefficiencies and inaccuracies in current audit workflows by leveraging Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies. This initiative aims to streamline these processes, reduce time consumption, and minimize errors, ultimately leading to more efficient audit operations.
The program involves the development and testing of AI/ML prototypes within the Department of Defense's Azure cloud environment. These prototypes are designed to serve as a reference architecture for potential deployment in production settings. The process includes rigorous testing phases such as unit, system, and user acceptance testing to ensure that the solutions meet all required specifications and functionality standards.
In fiscal years 2024 and 2025, the focus will be on refining the capabilities and requirements of these prototypes. The program will continue to develop and test these solutions while improving their reference architecture for future production use. As the software development progresses towards operational status, there is a noted decrease in costs due to the transition from development to operations and sustainment phases.
The Enterprise Information Technology System aims to modernize audit processes through innovative technological solutions. By integrating advanced cloud-based technologies with AI/ML capabilities, the program seeks to create a more efficient and accurate auditing environment within the Department of Defense.
