Description
The Dominant Information Sciences and Methods program, under the Department of the Air Force, aims to enhance warfighter readiness and effectiveness through advanced information technology. The C4I Dominance Technology project focuses on developing secure, self-configuring networks and timely information delivery systems. It also aims to improve intelligence analysis capabilities by fusing multi-intelligence sources for better situational awareness and threat anticipation. This project supports the National Defense Strategy by enabling operational agility and enhancing communication technologies across air, space, and cyberspace domains.

The Cyberspace Dominance Technology project is dedicated to achieving cyber dominance by developing technologies for cyber-attack, defense, and support. This includes ensuring secure information sharing and providing cyber situational awareness to Air Force Commanders. The project also focuses on developing computing architectures that enhance mission objectives and deliver disruptive computing power at the tactical edge. These efforts aim to maintain the Air Force's ability to access adversary systems while defending against attacks on friendly systems.

Research Site Support ensures the operational infrastructure of the Rome Research Site in New York, which is crucial for advancing information science and technology within the Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate. The site provides essential services such as logistics, communication, utilities, and maintenance to support its research mission. The directorate is responsible for maintaining a safe environment for researchers while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

These projects within the Dominant Information Sciences and Methods program are coordinated through the Department of Defense Science and Technology Executive Committee process to harmonize efforts across various domains. This coordination helps eliminate duplication of efforts while focusing on advancing technologies that meet general military needs and support national security objectives.
