Description
The Aviation Support Equipment program within the Navy is dedicated to enhancing the operational capabilities of naval aviation through technological advancements and equipment procurement. A primary focus is the implementation of the Decision Knowledge Programming for Logistics Analysis and Technical Evaluation (DECKPLATE). This system serves as a next-generation Naval Aviation Logistics Data Analysis tool, aiming to streamline processes and improve technological capabilities by transitioning from legacy systems to a more integrated data environment. This transition supports naval aviation logistics needs.
Another important goal is acquiring hardware and software for the Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System (NALCOMIS) and Fleet System Array (NFSA). This effort upgrades technical infrastructure at shipboard and shore-based sites, ensuring data replication and analysis to enhance fleet safety and readiness. The Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) project further supports these efforts by providing digital access to technical data, improving maintenance processes, and reducing man-hours through automated data management.
The Condition Based Maintenance Plus (CBM+) initiative aims to optimize aircraft availability and material readiness by incorporating health indicators into maintenance processes. This approach seeks to extend aircraft life while reducing maintenance costs. Additionally, the Commander Fleet Readiness Center's Digital Production Floor and Digital Toolboxes initiatives focus on digitizing production processes at Navy Aviation Depots. These initiatives align with broader Naval Logistics IT enterprise efforts to enhance efficiency and reduce administrative delays.
The Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) Ship Integration project supports F-35 mission planning, maintenance, logistics, and supply functions on naval vessels. It involves integrating ALIS with shipboard networks to facilitate secure data transfer for logistics support and mission execution. Collectively, these efforts aim to modernize naval aviation support infrastructure, improve operational efficiency, and ensure mission readiness across various platforms.
