UH-60 Black Hawk L and V Models

UH-60 Black Hawk L and V Models under the Army's Aircraft Procurement, aims to acquire and maintain UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters to support various military operations. The program includes the procurement of UH-60V kits, which provide an integrated digital map, performance planning, and common functionality for training with UH-60M. The UH-60 Black Hawk is a utility helicopter used for air assault, general support, command & control, and aero-medical evacuations. The program's objective is to ensure the availability of these helicopters for joint force operations, including support during night and adverse weather conditions.

The UH-60 Black Hawk L and V Models program also involves the conversion of UH-60 A to L models and the production of UH-60L Digital (now designated as UH-60V). This conversion process includes integrating digital components, engineering changes, systems engineering, program management, trainers, data, and fielding. The program's goal is to modernize and enhance the capabilities of the UH-60 fleet by providing digital cockpit features, improved engines, and wide-cord main rotor blades. Additionally, the program supports homeland defense missions, domestic emergency responses, and military support to civil authorities as mandated by Section 1815 of the FY 2008 National Defense Authorization Act.
