Tactical Electronic Surveillance System - Adv Dev

Tactical Electronic Surveillance System - Adv Dev falls under the Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) Budget Activity 2040 and aims to exploit national capabilities to support operations during conflict and competition. The program leverages National Intelligence Community (IC) capabilities through cross-agency engineering to evaluate, enhance, prototype, and transition Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) technologies/capabilities from the IC into Army systems and architectures. This includes projects such as TENCAP Core project (907), Tactical Intelligence Targeting Access Node (TITAN) Pre-Prototype development project (BX9), and Low Earth Orbit ISR (LEO ISR) development project (CC5). The program's objectives include deep sensing to support commanders' situational understanding, indications & warnings, intelligence support to targeting, and supporting Army modernization priorities.

The Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (TENCAP) office serves as the Army's centralized lead to perform National Intelligence cross-agency engineering. It evaluates, enhances, prototypes, and transitions Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) technologies/capabilities from the National Intelligence Community (IC) into Army systems and architectures. The program aims to ensure assured access to current and future National and Commercial sensors and supporting tactical architectures while exploiting new developments that focus on improving the Analysis and Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination (TCPED) of intelligence data. Additionally, it aims to develop prototypes that directly support the Army Warfighter by collaborating with National Intelligence Community partners to exploit next-generation National and commercial space-based intelligence.
