Stand-In Attack Weapon (SIAW)

SIAW24 the Stand-In Attack Weapon (SIAW) under the Air Force's Missile Procurement budget activity, aims to develop a missile system capable of striking rapidly re-locatable targets within the Anti-Access/Area Denial (A2/AD) environment. The targets include Theater Ballistic Missile Launchers, Land Attack and Anti-Ship Cruise Missile Launchers, GPS Jammers, Anti-Satellite Systems, and Integrated Air Defense Systems. The program will be developed under a Digital Acquisition (DA) approach in a competitive environment emphasizing agility and innovation. Interim combat capability will be pursued through the Navy's Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile-Extended Range (AARGM-ER) program with improved warhead/fuze and F-35 integration. The funding will also address Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) issues.

The specific objectives of Program SIAW24 include the procurement of 14 AARGM-ER AUR missiles and associated support costs in FY24. Additionally, the funding will facilitate the AARGM-ER production line by increasing production support equipment from FY23 to FY24. The program aims to enhance combat capability through improved warhead/fuze and F-35 integration while addressing manufacturing sources issues. The procurement quantities are subject to change based on negotiated options/pricing bands and available funding in accordance with Title 10, U.S. Code Section 3069 BUY-TO-BUDGET ACQUISITION.
