Description
The Military Global Positioning System User Equipment (MGUE) Increment (Inc) 1 and Inc 2, aims to develop and integrate modernized GPS receivers for the Department of Defense (DoD) across all military platforms using GPS services. The program's specific objectives include developing standard modernized receiver form factors for Service-nominated lead platforms, expanding Military-Code (M-Code) receiver technology into additional applications, and developing a modernized Handheld (HH) device to meet Service requirements. Additionally, the program focuses on maturing technology for future GPS receivers to increase resiliency in GPS performance and improve size, weight, power, and cost (SWAP/C) of military receivers. Furthermore, the program is dedicated to integrating MGUE Inc 1 receiver form factors into Service-nominated lead platforms and conducting security certification programs to ensure future military GPS receivers protect critical program information and continue working in all environments and concepts of operations called for by U.S. Strategic Command.
The specific goals of Program PE 1203164SF are to enhance the capabilities of GPS User Equipment (UE) for the Department of Defense (DoD) by developing standardized modernized receiver form factors for Service-nominated lead platforms, expanding M-Code receiver technology into additional applications, and developing a modernized Handheld (HH) device to meet Service requirements. The program also aims to mature technology for future GPS receivers to increase resiliency in GPS performance and improve SWAP/C of military receivers. Additionally, it focuses on integrating MGUE Inc 1 receiver form factors into Service-nominated lead platforms and conducting security certification programs to ensure future military GPS receivers protect critical program information and continue working in all environments and concepts of operations called for by U.S. Strategic Command. These objectives align with the broader mission of enhancing navigation warfare capabilities across all military platforms using GPS services.
