Description
Naval MIP Support Equipment aims to deliver and sustain SCI network access and information technology infrastructure and tools to the Maritime Operations Centers and Naval Intelligence Community ashore. This includes providing desktop hardware, software, peripherals, network equipment, server hardware and software, video teleconferencing devices, and secure voice over IP telephones. The program also focuses on maintaining and modernizing Navy GEOINT Tasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (TCPED) distributed operations node to ensure interoperability with Fleet, Joint, and NGA PED infrastructure and ISR platforms. Additionally, the program aims to provide resources for a critical change proposal to satisfy COMPACFLT requirement to provision Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS) in Maritime Operation Centers (MOCs) to provide Fleet Commanders' intelligence on specific countries.
The objectives of Program 8114 include the procurement of various equipment such as network storage systems, computer hardware refresh, network equipment upgrades/refresh, video conference equipment refresh, FIST Capital Equipment Replacement Program (CERP), SCI Network CERP for MOCs, SCI Communications at MOCs, SCI IA capabilities needed for active cyber defense and incident response of the information environment for the IC. The program also focuses on modernizing Navy GEOINT Tasking capabilities and ground station equipment for sensitive sensor tracking capabilities hosted on a JWICS LYNX Ground Station Infrastructure platform. These efforts are aimed at ensuring advanced capabilities to support maritime tracking requirements for US Navy platforms, unmanned systems and Intelligence Community directorates across various locations.
