Description
Minotaur under the Navy's Other Procurement budget activity, aims to provide interoperable systems including the Core Mission Management System (MMS), Minotaur Data Link Processor (MDLP), and Reach/Web to ensure correlation and fusion of tactical mission data products for Combatant Commanders, Fleet Commanders, and Tactical Commanders. The program enhances Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Targeting (ISR&T) for all warfare pillars in support of the Naval Operational Architecture (NOA). It also supports Battlespace Awareness (BA) tactical decision aids, intelligence data distribution, and battle-management coordination with improved decision agility. The funding provides Technical Data Packages supporting ISR&T capabilities aboard US Navy ships, submarines, and surface systems to include both Ground Support Stations and Command and Control (C2) nodes.
The Minotaur program also focuses on providing technology refresh and obsolescence of high-performance computing systems for surface/shore fielding of MFoS products that include Core MMS, Reach/Web, and MDLP. It aims to close critical kill chain gaps within the Naval Operational Architecture (NOA) and bring data to the tactical edge in support of Long Range Fires (LRF). The funding supports analysis, Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE), integration, modernization, procurement, production, and delivery of MFoS capabilities installed on ship and shore-based infrastructure. Additionally, it includes efforts for code modernization necessary to deliver Minotaur for deployment in evolving Naval Operational Architecture (NOA) and networks.
