Description
Joint Service Provider (JSP) operated by the Defense Information Systems Agency, aims to serve as the exclusive Information Technology (IT) service provider for the Pentagon Reservation and National Capital Region (NCR), catering to a diverse range of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel. The program's primary objectives include providing office automation tools, critical software, and IT support services for over 40,000 customers. Additionally, the program focuses on testing, piloting, and developing new integrated business technologies to enhance its business processes, IT services, and capabilities. This involves combining commercial and government-managed software to provide network transport, storage, compute, defensive cyber operations, and other components of the NCR's core network infrastructure.
Furthermore, the JSP program supports mobile classified computing and communications platforms technology test and development for the immediate Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), enabling secured computing at residence, temporary, and mobile locations around the world. Its planned programs include modernization and capability efforts for mobile classified computing and other communications platforms technology. The program also aims to evaluate and test AI OPS capabilities to improve data analytics and integrate with service management tools. Additionally, it seeks to identify and evaluate application containerization tools that simplify server hosting requirements and cloud migration while evaluating advanced teleworking capabilities to streamline end-user access to data in a distributed environment.
