Description
Joint Planning and Execution Services (JPES) is a critical component of the Defense Information Systems Agency's mission to provide joint command and control (JC2) global force management (GFM) capabilities. The program aims to modernize and maintain two operational systems: the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) and the Joint Capabilities Requirements Manager (JCRM). Additionally, it seeks to develop the Joint Collaboration Tool (JCT) to replace legacy Newsgroups. The specific objectives include enhancing force planning and execution capabilities, enabling the Global Force Management Allocation Process (GFMAP), and providing a secure messaging system for collaboration among combatant commands, military services, and lift providers.
The primary goal of Program PE 0303171K is to ensure the continuous improvement and modernization of critical joint command and control (JC2) global force management (GFM) capabilities. This includes the modernization of JOPES in phase 1 and JCRM in phase 2, as well as the development of the Joint Collaboration Tool (JCT) to replace legacy Newsgroups. The program's objectives are focused on enhancing force planning and execution capabilities, enabling the Global Force Management Allocation Process (GFMAP), and providing a secure messaging system for effective collaboration among combatant commands, military services, and lift providers. These efforts are vital for supporting thousands of operational users across the globe in planning and executing global military operations.
