Joint Air-Surface Standoff Missile

JASSM0 the Joint Air-Surface Standoff Missile, is part of the Air Force's Missile Procurement budget activity. The specific goal of this program is to initiate a Multiyear Procurement (MYP) strategy for AMRAAM, JASSM, LRASM, and Standard Missile-6. This strategy involves executing individual MYPs in a concurrent and overlapping multiyear approach to generate production synergies across different but related programs. The objective is to achieve greater production capacity, accelerated delivery, and lower unit costs through the Large Lot Procurement (LLP) concept. This approach leverages Economic Order Quantities (EOQ) financing to procure additional lots of missiles under a Buy-to-budget concept, aiming to improve efficiencies and yields.

The program's budget request for FY 2024 includes a total funding of $769.672 million, which encompasses $729.672 million for EOQ financing for Lots 22-26 and $40.000 million to procure long lead time parts for Lot 23. The program aims to utilize these funds to implement the MYP strategy and achieve cost efficiencies through the LLP concept. By leveraging EOQ financing and executing a concurrent multiyear strategy, the program seeks to enhance production capacities, expedite delivery timelines, and reduce unit costs for the procurement of Joint Air-Surface Standoff Missiles and related programs within the Air Force's missile inventory.
