Description
Intelligence Mission Data (IMD) is a research and development initiative under the Navy's Research, Development, Test & Evaluation budget activity. The program aims to support the Intelligence community by integrating, prioritizing, and analyzing threat data and modeling of intelligence data across Naval platforms and systems. It focuses on enhancing the interoperability and integration of intelligence data across various domains, including Space, Air Force, and Army platforms. The program's specific objectives include migrating and leveraging previous results to conduct analysis on threat data support for afloat and ashore Naval platforms, modernizing and digitally transforming Navy programs and systems, and integrating intelligence information into more agile software-focused environments.
The project under PE 0307577N further supports the Intelligence community through the acquisition of intelligence requirements task force. This involves developing improvements to tools, data structures, and visualizations to enable analysis of intelligence data's impact on complex mission performances. Additionally, it includes efforts to integrate modeling and simulation tools to support joint intelligence data integration, interoperability, and prioritization of threat data across various platforms. The program's goals also encompass identifying threat artifacts used during acquisition program execution, coordinating technical data analysis of threats, validating standardized risk assessments for threat models/data, and establishing configuration management of threat data from all producers to allow rapid incorporation of intelligence collections into reprogramming, engineering, and test environments.
