Description
Marine Corps IT Dev/Mod aims to establish and refine computing platforms and IT services for the Marine Corps' IT framework, spanning military and garrison operations. The program's specific objectives include sustaining and continuously refining computing platforms and IT services as tested, certified, and reusable components of a Marine Corps IT framework. This includes modernizing officer and enlisted personnel models, leveraging data analytics across recruiting and retention enterprise, improving assignment of enlisted recruits to military occupational specialties, implementing a web-based talent marketplace, streamlining, digitizing, and automating human capital business processes to reduce administrative overhead, and modernizing the Marine Corps Recruiting Information Support System (MCRISS) to automate administrative procedures for recruiting station operations.

Additionally, the program aims to support the modernization of the systematic recruiting components to provide efficiency for the Recruiting force from the Headquarters element down to the Recruiter. It also involves numerous updates to become fully compliant with Cyber Security and Center for Naval Analysis (CNA) policies and mandates to protect PII/PHI data captured and stored in the system. The program also supports the technical refresh/upgrade of Standard Accounting Budgeting Reporting System (SABRS) database technology from ADABAS to a newer database architecture. This modernization effort provides a modern and well-supported database technology that ultimately enables the normalization of Marine Corps financial data in a true relational database.

Overall, these efforts are critical in delivering human resource solutions that manage and enable the Marine Corps' exceptionally talented workforce to increase match fit, job satisfaction, career longevity, as well as supporting strategic-level business processes such as global force management, readiness assessment, wargaming, planning, programming, budgeting, capability solution development.
