5 - Modification of inservice aircraft
Description
HCMC00 HC/MC-130 Modifications, under the Air Force's Aircraft Procurement, aims to provide post-production support for AC/HC/MC-130Js. The program focuses on addressing out-of-production aircraft needs, correcting production deficiencies, and supporting the aircraft once the production line is complete. Specific activities include stand up, replacement, and/or increased requirement of Primary Mission Equipment; Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) and obsolescence solutions; spares procurement; Program Support Costs (PSC); Government Services; fielding of/and upgrades to simulators/training devices; Interim Contractor Support (ICS); purchase of Government Furnished Equipment; Pub/Tech Data; Crypto Updates; and Data. Additionally, the program addresses post-delivery and field support needs such as training, interim supply support, deferred support equipment, and replacement of organizational and intermediate level peculiar support equipment.
The objectives of Program HCMC00 are to ensure the continued operational readiness and effectiveness of AC/HC/MC-130J aircraft through comprehensive post-production support efforts. This includes addressing critical needs such as correcting production deficiencies, providing spares procurement, supporting equipment replacements, and addressing obsolescence issues. The program also aims to facilitate force structure changes that increase the number of bases requiring support equipment during the post-production period of the weapon system. Furthermore, it seeks to procure investment type replenishment spares and repair parts exempt from the AF Working Capital Fund, Supply Division. In FY 24, this line item: HCMC00, HC/MC-130 PPS efforts were transferred to line item: C130JM, MC-130J, in order to continue post-production support for AC/HC/MC-130J aircraft.
