General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS)

General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) supports the development and deployment of the GFEBS-Sensitive Activities (GFEBS-SA) as a National Security System within the Army's financial management system. The program aims to protect sensitive information and enable clean auditability, allowing the Army to process sensitive and classified financial transactions without compromising classified information or endangering soldiers. GFEBS-SA was fully deployed in 2020 to 3,000 users across 100 locations worldwide and processes Secret Collateral and below information. The program also focuses on continuous enhancements to meet audit requirements, maintain synchronized software baselines, and support modernization efforts aligned with Original Equipment Manufacturer's Systems Applications and Products (SAP) next-generation capability.

Additionally, the program aims to support the increase in mission performance and improvement of automated system processes while addressing the obsolescence of existing SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) real property and financial management platforms. This includes market research on alternatives for SAP-based finance/logistics consolidation to evaluate potential efficiencies by reducing platforms and licenses. The program also focuses on integrating and implementing the next generation of Enterprise Business Systems capabilities, identifying redundant processes for business process re-engineering, and supporting government Program Management and Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance contractors needed for planning and managing post-modern system implementation efforts.
