Fire Support C2 Family

Fire Support C2 Family is focused on funding the procurement of fire support command and control (FSC2) systems that align with the Army Long Range Precision Fires (LRPF) and Army Network modernization priorities. The program aims to automate the planning and execution of fire support operations to ensure appropriate munitions are paired with suitable weapons or group of weapons to adequately cover targets. It also provides dismounted and mounted Forward Observer (FO) and Fire Support Teams (FISTs) with software applications to accurately and rapidly locate ground targets and digitally process a Call for Fire. Additionally, the program supports the fielding of the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS), which provides automated fire support command, control, and communications for the Army and Marine Corps.

The objectives of Program 9060B28501 include enhancing the Army's fire support capabilities through the procurement of advanced FSC2 systems that automate fire support operations, provide precision fires for dismounted and mounted FOs and FISTs, and support LRPF capabilities. The program aims to improve interoperability with coalition partner fire support systems, enhance kill chain responsiveness, integrate with Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), improve cyber security posture, optimize future upgrades, and provide Joint/Coalition Situational Awareness for fires execution and mission management. Additionally, it seeks to transition from legacy AFATDS code to a data-centric capability postured for deployment in a variety of hosting environments.
