Description
CounterIntel and Human Intel Modernization is a critical initiative within the Army's Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) budget activity. The program aims to support ongoing rejuvenation and development of new critical counterintelligence (CI) and human intelligence (HUMINT) systems, applications, tools, equipment, and capabilities necessary to defeat foreign intelligence, international terrorist, and insider threats. This includes enhancing HUMINT collection capability, management processes, and responsiveness. The program also focuses on modernizing systems to protect Army technologies and ensure overmatch on current and future battlefields. Specific objectives include updating the CI Threat Module, the Army CI Operations Portal (ACOP), partnering with other Service CI entities on a joint CI analysis system development project, and rapid integration of emerging geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) capabilities and analysis techniques to provide maximum advantage to ground force commanders.
