Description
Constructive Simulation Systems Development under the Army's Research, Development, Test & Evaluation budget activity, aims to fund the development of constructive and wargame simulations for training commanders and their battle staffs in complex battlefield conditions. This program includes two projects: Project 361 focuses on the development of the Intelligence Electronic Warfare Tactical Proficiency Trainer (IEWTPT), which simulates and stimulates Military Intelligence (MI) and Electronic Warfare (EW) equipment for home-station training. It supports mission command, targeting, and MI/EW Soldier readiness. Project 362 supports Army Title X training worldwide for Army Commanders and their staff at Mission Training Complexes (MTCs), Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) facilities, and other customer locations. JLCCTC trains Commanders and their staff in Decisive Actions to include offensive, defensive, stability, and civil support operations.
The specific objectives of Project 361 include developing, integrating, and testing IEWTPT to support home-station training by simulating MI and EW equipment. It aims to enable training of critical individual, crew, and collective MI tasks/skills and support mission command, targeting, and MI/EW Soldier readiness. Additionally, it provides a realistic simulation intelligence target environment for multi-intelligence disciplines such as All Source Analysis, Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Imagery Intelligence (IMINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), and emerging EW systems. Project 362 aims to provide a software modeling and simulation capability that contributes to Army Training Mission Area by providing appropriate levels of modeling and simulation resolution and fidelity to support unit collective and combined arms training in contemporary Joint operating environments.
Overall, these projects aim to enhance the readiness of military intelligence personnel by providing realistic simulation environments for training in various intelligence disciplines as well as land warfare operations.
