Description
Command Post Systems is a critical CMC Force Design program within the Navy's procurement budget. It is essential for achieving Force Design full operational capability (FOC) by 2030. The program aims to provide a state-of-the-art turn-key open architecture solution that enables forces to exercise command and control across operational domains - land, sea, air, and while transitioning between domains. This includes providing terrestrial line of sight and beyond line of sight satellite communication gateway services, access to services and applications, and critical radio, voice, and data command and control links to key leaders in dynamic environments across multiple domains. The program also supports Navy shipboard integration by installing NOTM Tactical Entry Point (TEP) Modem Kits on Amphibious L-class ships to provide services to Marine Littoral Regiment forces ashore.
The specific objectives of Program 4631 include supporting the Force Design 2030 Line of Effort Command and Control (C2) in a Degraded Environment, enabling persistence inside contested environments, conducting sea denial operations as part of the Naval Expeditionary Force, and providing critical radio, voice, and data command and control links to key leaders in dynamic environments across multiple domains. Additionally, the program aims to achieve Force Design 2030 objectives by providing direct access to process fires missions directly with aircraft through Link-16 capable radios. The funding for FY 2024 supports the continued procurement of NOTM Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) Systems, NOTM ULTV systems, Global Command and Control System - Tactical Combat Operations (GCCS TCO), Hand Held Command and Control (H2C2) tablets, equipment upgrades, and system refresh activities.
