Description
COE Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) is a critical component of the Army Network Modernization Strategy, providing the server hardware platform for hosting Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE) and enterprise software in Army units from the Battalion echelon through Army Service Component Command. The TSI supports the converged computing and data storage hardware/software required to host tactical Computing Environments, Warfighter Functional Area applications, COE Cross-Cutting Capabilities, and enables a collaborative work environment. It standardizes server configurations using Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware and software, providing a common hosting platform for mission command systems and extending support to the migration of future warfighting capabilities. The program also includes fielding, training, and integration of Cyber Situational Understanding and Cross Domain Solutions for Mission Partner Environment.
The funding for FY 2024 Base procurement in the amount of $77.999 million supports the purchase of 55 Tactical Server Infrastructure (TSI) Large servers and 267 TSI Small servers. This procurement also includes initial TSI software and software licenses, recurring software licenses, product support documentation and services, fielding, new equipment training, fielding and training of Tactical Defensive Cyber Operations Infrastructure, fielding and training of Cyber Situational Understanding, and integration of Cross Domain Solutions for Mission Partner Environment. Additionally, funding will support the upgrade of TSI V2 servers to TSI V3 to improve Size, Weight and Power (SWaP) in a modular configuration tailored for different unit echelons. The program is aligned with Section 1815 of the FY 2008 National Defense Authorization Act (P.L. 110-181), supporting homeland defense missions, domestic emergency responses, and providing military support to civil authorities.
