Ballistic Missile Defense Command and Control Battle Management & Communication, is a critical element of the Missile Defense System. It aims to enable the U.S. President, Secretary of Defense, and Combatant Commanders to systematically plan missile defense operations, collectively monitor the battle's development, and dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. The program integrates various systems such as Patriot, Terminal High Altitude Area Defense, Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense, Ground-based Midcourse Defense, and others to enhance homeland defense and regional missile tracking capabilities. Additionally, it supports the integration of coalition partners' capabilities and explores innovative space applications for a missile defense intercept and defeat system.

The C2BMC program under PE 0603896C focuses on incremental development, deployment, and operational support of capabilities required for Missile Defense System planning, situational awareness, sensor management, and engagement coordination. It delivers capabilities incrementally through software builds (Spirals), enhancing homeland defense with improved threat tracking using multiple sensors, expanded hypersonic tracking and reporting, and integration of space-based sensor data. The program also supports international partner system engineering to ensure interoperability with allies and partners such as NATO, Israel, and Japan. Furthermore, it invests in advanced algorithms to improve track and discrimination capabilities while maintaining efficiencies in cost.
