Army Tactical Command & Control Hardware & Software

Army Tactical Command & Control Hardware & Software aims to support the Army Network Modernization Strategy by funding various projects aligned with the strategy's Lines of Effort (LOEs). These projects include Common Hardware Systems (CHS), Central Technical Support Facility (CTSF), Army Tac C2 Sys Eng, Unified Network Technology Transition and Integration (UNTTI), Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Mounted Computing Environment (MCE), Tactical Enhancement, and Mobile/Handheld Computing Environment (M/HHCE). The objectives of these projects range from acquiring and sustaining flexible, cost-effective information technology solutions to facilitating network interoperability and providing command post computing infrastructure. Additionally, the funding supports the development and testing of Unified Network Operations (UNO) and aims to deliver a standards-based network architecture for modernizing the Mission Command Network.

The specific goals of these projects include enhancing network resiliency, improving command post mobility and survivability, providing communications solutions for command post networking, and integrating mission command solutions into vehicle platforms. Furthermore, the funding supports the development of a seamless end-to-end Unified Network from enterprise to tactical echelons, enabling all warfighting functions. These efforts are aligned with the Army's capability set approach to achieve network modernization strategy goals and are aimed at system development and demonstration to validate system prototypes meet requirements. Overall, the funding line directly supports the Army's modernization efforts by addressing critical needs related to tactical command and control hardware and software.
