Description
All Domain Convergence Advanced Technology is a research and development initiative under the Army's Research, Development, Test & Evaluation budget activity. The program aims to assess the feasibility of integrating technologies from sensor to shooter in near real-time, from tactical to strategic levels. This includes leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance threat recognition, decision-making, and autonomous capabilities. The program also focuses on designing system engineering architectures to validate technology interoperability. The research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering Priority focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy and is performed by the United States Army Futures Command.
Under Project CL9, Collab Battlefield Networked Leth Sys Adv Tech, within PE 0603041A, the program aims to mature and demonstrate dynamic Weapon-Target Pairing (WTP) fires planning and execution for maneuver forces. It also seeks to integrate fires and intelligence technologies, implement AI-based decision aids, and demonstrate role-based networked lethality architecture. This project supports Next Generation Combat Vehicle, Tactical Network, Future Vertical Lift, and Long Range Precision Fires Army Modernization Priorities. The work is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering priority focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy and is performed by the United States Army Futures Command.
Program Element (PE) 0603041A also includes Project CM2: Collaborative Convergence Adv Tech Development. This project focuses on developing critical Project Convergence technologies and architecture through adaptive data fusion, AI decision support agents, information extraction methods, scalable architecture solutions for tactical data collection, processing, storage, modeling, and simulation. It supports Next Generation Combat Vehicle, Long Range Precision Fires, Air and Missile Defense, Tactical Network, and Future Vertical Lift Army Modernization Priorities. The research is consistent with the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering priority focus areas and the Army Modernization Strategy and is performed by the United States Army Futures Command.
