Description
ACCESSIONS INFORMATION ENVIRONMENT (AIE) aims to support the Army recruiter's mission by providing a fully integrated enterprise-level capability for recruiting Army Soldiers across all components. The program aligns authorities, responsibilities, and resources for total Army accessions, with the goal of replacing 11 legacy systems and 33 modules of the active Accessions IT systems that have been in existence for over 30 years. AIE's specific objectives include enabling transparent and efficient workforce accessions, re-engineering business processes for Army Accessions, and ensuring the Army can acquire the best qualified talent to meet manning requirements and complete readiness objectives.
The program's primary goals are to provide a critical Army modernization effort to support the recruiting mission, enhance the Army's strength through its four missions (Enlist Soldiers, Commission Officers, Fulfill In-Service requirements, and Support and Sustain), and address the frequent outages and unstable performance experienced by legacy accessions systems. AIE will be deployed using an agile approach across four iterative waves over four years, with full operational capability across the enterprise expected to be completed in FY 2028. The program also aims to leverage a train-the-trainer approach and provide training/travel support for the deployment of AIE to Wave 1 recruiters, ongoing analysis of potential alternatives to support solution requirements, procurement of required training materials, and all additional materials needed to support delivery of training to end-users.
