I translate the environmental concerns of stakeholders into effective discussions with regulators, policy-makers, and responsible parties, and communicate information about risk assessment and the cleanup process to affected communities. I assess environmental work plans and reports to ensure consideration of client interests, and frequently act as an interface between the sides of contentious matters. I am able to overcome barriers, find common ground, and advocate for positive outcomes and constructive relationships. I act as a liaison across government agencies, and enjoy working with people at all levels of the environmental investigation process, from local residents to state and Tribal environmental staff and public health professionals, to director-level federal staff. I can articulate the concerns of one group to another, finding modes of communication that bridge gaps in experience and understanding in order to maximize the effectiveness of the team working on a problem.
