Giant City Stables, located 10 miles south of Route 13 in Carbondale, Illinois, has been providing equine-assisted services and therapeutic horseback riding in Southern Illinois since 1995. Our PATH Intl. (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship) Certified Riding Instructor, Ramona Twellman, has over 20 years of experience in adaptive riding and equine therapy. We serve Veterans, children, and adults with disabilities and chronic conditions, using horse-human connections to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Services include guided horseback trail rides, summer horse camps, adaptive riding lessons, group and private riding instruction, hand-led pony rides for young riders, and therapeutic riding sessions for individuals with special needs. We operate March 15 through mid-November for guided trail rides, and year-round for riding lessons and therapeutic sessions, weather permitting.
