We improve medicines by re-engineering existing products, design innovative formulations, drug delivery and testing methods that augment existing treatments and enable new disease-targets for currently approved drugs. Re-engineered products that overcome pharmaceutical challenges are matched with a drug’s pharmacokinetic attributes for optimum results. We are disrupting the gridlock in new drug discovery through smarter use of existing medicines. We improve solubility, stability to avoid cold chain and improve outreach for drugs that are prone to oxidation and/or hydrolysis. For ease of manufacturing and dose-uniformity, we use in-situ (controlled) crystallization for extended-release from solution, instead of suspension and polymer-coated particles. We are enabling synergistic combinations, designing thermotropic gels to improve preservation, and innovative dosage forms for rapid administration. A long-acting IM injection for once-a-month dosing was recently approved by the FDA.
