Objective
The SSRD program was authorized to promote research and demonstrations related to the prevention and reduction of dependency, or the administration and effectiveness of programs related to that purpose. The objectives of the Behavioral Intervention Scholars is to support studies that apply a behavioral science lens to specific research questions relevant to social services programs and policies and other issues facing low-income families, to add to the growing body of knowledge on effective behavioral interventions for ACF programs and populations. The objective of the State Interoperability Grants is to accelerate data sharing efforts by human services organizations through innovative approaches to interoperability implementation. Effective data sharing promotes informed decision making, improved accuracy and data quality, reduced system integration costs, and stronger protection of sensitive data. The ability to share data is often described as interoperability, which includes the technology, business, legal, organizational, and process-oriented factors that determine how we use data and collaborate across programs and systems.
