Objective
To support projects that develop and implement performance-based compensation systems for teachers, principals, and other personnel in high-need schools. These compensation systems must include growth in student academic achievement as well as classroom evaluations conducted multiple times during each school year, among other factors, and provide educators with incentives to take on additional responsibilities and leadership roles.

Applicant Eligibility
Eligible applicants are local educational agencies (LEAs), including charter schools that are LEAs in their State, State educational agencies (SEAs), or partnerships of (1) an LEA, an SEA, or both, and (2) at least one non-profit organization.
Beneficiary Eligibility
SEAs, LEAs, non-profit organizations, and students, teachers, and principals in an LEA’s high-need schools benefit from the program.
