Objective
This program is intended to provide assistance to States and territories for implementation of EPA's draft K-12 Schools Environmental Health Program Guidelines. EPA was directed by Congress to develop these voluntary Guidelines and is issuing them as part of its Clean, Green and Healthy Schools Initiative. The Guidelines will provide a framework for States and territories to identify, prioritize, and mitigate enviornmental exposures in schools such as lead-based paint, poor indoor air quality, volatile organic chemicals, asthma triggers, mold, pests and pesticides, radon, etc. Funding Priority - Fiscal Year 2012: EPA's draft K-12 Schools Environmental Health Program Guidelines provide a framework for States and territories to identify, prioritize, and mitigate enviornmental exposures in schools such as lead-based paint, poor indoor air quality, volatile organic chemicals, asthma triggers, mold, pests and pesticides, radon, etc.

Applicant Eligibility
For certain competitive funding opportunities under this CFDA description, the Agency may limit eligibility to compete to a number or subset of eligible applicants consistent with the Agency's Assistance Agreement Competition Policy. Eligible applicants include Tribes and any State of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, the Canal Zone, the Northern Mariana Islands, and any other territory or possession of the United States and the agencies of these entities.
