Objective
Veterans Pilot Training grants program will allow up to $5,000,000 for competitive grants to facilitate the future supply of adequate pilots and award grants to flight schools that are accredited by the Department of Education or hold a restricted airline transport pilot letter of authorization.

Applicant Eligibility
Pilot schools that hold a training certificate under part 141 of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations and have established employment pathways with at least 1 commercial air carrier operating under part 121 or 135, Code of Federal Regulations.
Priority shall be given to schools accredited by the Department of Education or hold a restricted airline transport pilot (R-ATP) letter of authorization, as specified under part 61 of title 14, Code of Federal Regulations.
