Objective
To provide grants for to pay the costs (including institutional support costs) of operating postsecondary career and technical education programs for Indian students at tribally controlled postsecondary career and technical institutions.

Applicant Eligibility
Funding is limited to the United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) located in Bismarck, North Dakota; and the Navajo Technical College (NTC) located in Crownpoint, New Mexico. UTTC is a regionally accredited institution, having achieved accreditation through the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. In addition, UTTC is the first tribal college in the nation authorized to offer full on-line degree programs. NTC is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission to offer associate of applied science degrees and certificates.
Beneficiary Eligibility
United Tribes Technical College is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation chartered by the state of North Dakota and operated by these five tribes: Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold, the Spirit Lake Tribe, the Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate, the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, and the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. The college serves students from federally recognized Indian Tribes, but welcomes and serves students of all backgrounds. Navajo Technical College primarily services Navajo students but has an open door admissions policy.
