Objective
Emphasis on expanding existing partnerships and the creation of new ones to initiate the reforestation of non-Federal mined land across the U.S. Increases in forestation procedures within these environmentally sensitive areas will be the basis for measuring performance.
Applicant Eligibility
State forestry or equivalent State agencies including Puerto Rico, the United States Virgin Islands, the Commonwealth of the Northern Marana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, and territories and possessions of the United States may be eligible. Local Public nonprofit institution/organization (includes institutions of higher education), Other private institutions/organizations.
Beneficiary Eligibility
Non-federal landowners with mined land that has been remediated for environmental and safety hazards and can grow trees and shrubs.
