Background
William & Mary, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is seeking proposals from experienced firms to establish a contract for janitorial services. The university aims to maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for its students, faculty, and staff. This RFP outlines the requirements for providing comprehensive janitorial services across various facilities within the university.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will provide janitorial services including daily cleaning of seven residence halls and one dining facility, encompassing approximately 459,962 square feet. Services include:

- Routine cleaning (Monday to Friday) during established working hours.
- Emergency on-call services for health and safety hazards.
- Change of occupancy cleaning at the end of the school year and during winter break.
- Scheduled cleaning during summer sessions and support for summer conferences.

Specific tasks outlined in Attachments E and F include daily cleaning tasks such as trash removal, surface disinfection, restroom sanitation, and floor maintenance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining communication with Residence Life staff and managing access control to residence halls.

Period of Performance
The contract will have an initial term of ten years from the date of award with an option for one five-year renewal, potentially extending through 2040.

Services will be performed at William & Mary’s campus located in Williamsburg, Virginia.
