IFB# 26006CW Mary Calcott Elementary Window Replacement/ Removal

Background
Norfolk Public Schools (NPS) is a large urban school division in Norfolk, Virginia, serving approximately 30,000 students with a diverse population. The mission of NPS is to ensure that all children achieve at high levels, supported by a dedicated staff of over 4,600 employees across 52 facilities.

This Invitation for Bid (IFB) seeks to engage a contractor for window removal and replacement services at Mary Calcott Elementary School.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the following tasks:
1. Replacement of windowpanes throughout the building.
2. Removal of any damaged glass and hazardous materials as defined in the contract documents.
3. Transporting replacement glass to the worksite located at Mary Calcott Elementary School, 137 Westmont Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23503.
4. Coordinating delivery of a lift to perform the work.
5. Replacing glass and any damaged stainless steel trim caps.
6. Removing and disposing of all debris from the premises.
7. Checking or testing windows for leaks and pressure before job completion.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of a Purchase Order and is expected to be completed by August 24, 2026, with substantial completion targeted for August 17, 2026.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Mary Calcott Elementary School located at 137 Westmont Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23503.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been actively engaged in providing similar services for a minimum of three years and must submit documentation including: a cover letter with an executive summary detailing firm history and experience; qualifications of personnel assigned to the project; certificates of insurance; completed pricing schedule; and references from similar projects preferably within school districts.
